Controller
The credit union is seeking a Controller to develop, manage, and maintain reliable accounting information and reporting on income, expenses, assets, liability, and capital for management planning and decision making and for fulfilment of financial reporting requirements. Reconcile GL and bank accounts. Manage the activities of the accounting department and staff. Ensure that reports, accounts, systems, policies, and practices adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the financial and accounting functions of the credit union to include: ALM, AP, AR, budgets, collections, GL, financial analysis, financial reporting, investments, payroll, taxes, tax returns and record retention.
Implement policies and procedures for the accounting department and ensure that policies and procedures reflect current regulations and are communicated to and implemented by subordinates.
Reconcile revenue reports, unbilled variances, special projects, payroll and timesheet reports, and claims disbursements. Prepare daily balance sheet analysis and cash position analysis.
Responsible for general ledger reconciliation, analysis of financial accounts, and preparation of journal entries. Provide end-of-month close and produce monthly financial statements.
Ensure that all activities of the department are in accordance with GAAP and that the accounting records are maintained accurately and in compliance with laws and regulations.
Maintain a well-trained staff and be able to cover in their absence.
Develop and implement processes to streamline credit union accounting procedures.
Provide regular reports to management of all accounting activities for the credit union’s accounting department.
Monitor fixed asset management.
Conduct special accounting studies, analyses, and special projects as requested by management.
Assist in the development, production, promotion, and sale of the credit union’s products and services to determine cost effectiveness.
Provide information regarding investment decisions.
Assist the CEO & Senior Accounting Manager with regulatory agency examiners and auditors.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Universal Representative
The Universal Representative plays a vital role in delivering outstanding member experiences. This multi-functional position combines teller duties, member service, and basic lending support. You’ll be the face of the credit union—helping members with transactions, answering questions, and guiding them toward financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Greet members warmly and professionally, providing personalized service
Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other financial transactions
Open new accounts, update member information, and assist with account maintenance
Educate members on products, services, and digital banking tools
Troubleshoot issues and resolve member concerns with empathy and efficiency
Support lending staff with basic loan applications and documentation
Promote a positive team environment and uphold our core values
Qualifications
High school diploma
Previous experience in banking, retail, or customer service a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
